We specialize in cutting & setting high quality Australian Opals. These stones come directly from the opal mines of Andamooka, Lightning Ridge, Coober Pedy, and Mintabie.
Jake's Opal Shop is an independently owned business by Jacob Larson. As the jeweler and owner he both crafts the jewelry & cuts all of the gems listed on our website. Both cutting gems and creating handmade jewelry are a passion of his. Opal is our choice stone due to the brilliant colors and variety of patterns.
Location
While Jake's Opal Shop is an online store our workshop is located in Massachusetts, United States. In our workshop the stones are cut, jewelry is made, and the rest of the business is run. Sometimes a sneak peak of the shop can be seen in Jake's livestreams where he shows off the cutting process from rough to finished piece.
